Arriving in Belo Horizonte
We recommend arriving in Belo Horizonte on March 29 or March 30, 2027. During these two days, guests will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant capital of Minas Gerais, known for its incredible food, welcoming atmosphere, cultural attractions, and beautiful architecture.
Monday, March 29 — A Taste of Minas Gerais
We’ll begin our Belo Horizonte experience at the iconic Mercado Central, discovering the flavors, traditions, and culture of Minas Gerais. After a special lunch, we’ll enjoy a relaxed afternoon around Praça da Liberdade and its beautiful surroundings.
Tuesday, March 30 — Belo Horizonte Highlights
We’ll explore some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Pampulha, its scenic lake, and the celebrated Church of Saint Francis of Assisi. We’ll also enjoy a special lunch featuring traditional Minas Gerais cuisine, whose comforting flavors and hearty dishes share some similarities with Cuban cooking. Later, we’ll visit the Mangabeiras area and end the day with beautiful panoramic views of the city.
March 31, 2027
Inhotim & Journey to Ouro Preto
On the morning of March 31, we will depart from Belo Horizonte and head to Inhotim, one of the most remarkable cultural destinations in Brazil.
Located in the countryside of Minas Gerais, Inhotim is the world’s largest open-air contemporary art museum, featuring extraordinary galleries, impressive installations, and breathtaking botanical gardens spread across hundreds of acres. It offers a unique combination of art, nature, and architecture unlike anywhere else in the world.
After our visit to Inhotim, we will continue our journey to the historic city of Ouro Preto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and rich Brazilian history.

Rehearsal Dinner
Guests who are already in Ouro Preto on Thursday evening are warmly invited to join us for our Rehearsal Dinner.
This relaxed gathering will give us the opportunity to spend time together before the wedding day, reconnect with family and friends, and begin the celebrations in a more intimate setting.

Our wedding ceremony & celebration will take place on Saturday, April 3, 2027, at Vila Relicário, nestled among the beautiful mountains of Ouro Preto.
We cannot wait to share this unforgettable day with all of you as we celebrate our love surrounded by family and friends.

Farewell Lunch in Sete Lagoas
On Sunday, April 4, we will travel to Sete Lagoas, Cristina’s hometown, where we will host a farewell lunch.
We would love for you to join us for one final gathering before your return trip.
Guests who wish to extend their stay in Brazil are warmly invited to spend additional time in Sete Lagoas. It would be our pleasure to welcome you and share more of the city where Cristina was born and raised.
Sete Lagoas is conveniently located near Belo Horizonte International Airport (CNF), making it an excellent place to stay before your departure. Most international flights returning to the United States depart in the evening, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxing day in the region before heading to the airport.
We hope you will join us not only for our wedding day, but for this unforgettable journey through some of the most beautiful and meaningful places in Minas Gerais.
April 5–7, 2027
Exploring the Area
Monday, April 5 — Gruta do Maquiné
& Cabana do Maquiné
On Monday, we’ll visit the spectacular Gruta de Maquiné, one of Minas Gerais’ most famous natural attractions. Discovered in the 19th century, this impressive limestone cave is known for its beautiful chambers and extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite formations.
After exploring the cave, we’ll have lunch at Cabana do Maquiné and spend a relaxing afternoon enjoying the hotel, its surroundings, and everything it has to offer.
Tuesday, April 6 — A Day at Sítio Santa Rita
Tuesday will be all about relaxing and spending time together. We’ll spend the entire day at Sítio Santa Rita, enjoying a traditional Brazilian churrasco, good food, drinks, nature, and — most importantly — each other’s company.
Wednesday — Discovering Sete Lagoas
On Wednesday, we’ll explore Sete Lagoas and some of its highlights, including Serra de Santa Helena, one of the city’s most beautiful viewpoints. From the top, we’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscape before visiting a few other local sights — a lovely way to wrap up our time together in Minas Gerais.
